Transform Your Wellbeing

My healthcare journey began at age 24 when I hit an emotional and physical low. I was overweight, inactive, smoking, drinking, tired and had difficulty concentrating. I couldn't stand the way I looked or felt, and I was confused about how I had gotten to this point. Having just graduated nursing school, an idea came to me to try to look for a solution by building on the small nutrition lesson we had as part of our coursework. I picked up a book from Goodwill titled "You Are What You Eat" by Dr. Gillian McKeith. Slowly, my perspective began to shift around food and my lifestyle. My journey accelerated when I started to incorporate spiritual principles into my diet and lifestyle choices as well. Principles like grace, honesty, action, willingness, perseverance and love have become the foundation of change for me and the patients I've worked with. Today, I love to encourage and educate patients to improve their health and the health of the lives around them. We were created for eternity; let's prepare for it!
